It has been another banner year for Stephen Curry. The Golden State Warriors point guard has celebrated ten years with Under Armour and expanded his role within the company. Even better, Curry has been on fire with new and retro sneaker releases.

Throughout the 2022-23 NBA season, Curry Brand took a victory lap on all of Curry's accomplishments and treated fans to several exciting colorways. Luckily for us, they are not done yet. Curry's first two signature shoes are enjoying a retro release in a historic dual drop.

The Curry 1 and Curry 2 Retro ‘Back 2 Back MVP’ will release on Friday, July 21 (the same day as the release of Stephen Curry: Underrated). The legendary basketball shoes will enjoy a global launch with a retail price of $150 in adult sizes on the Curry Brand website and in select UA Brand Houses.

Curry fans and sneakerheads will recognize this as the first retro release of the ‘Back 2 Back MVP’ pack since its original release in 2016. The timing of the release is designed as a celebration of Curry’s place in NBA history - a 4x NBA Champion, 9x NBA All-Star, 2x MVP, and the greatest 3-point shooter of all time.

Curry made history coming off an MVP season and his first NBA championship victory in 2014-2015 and going on to lead the Warriors to another Finals appearance in 2015-2016 and an unprecedented MVP campaign that ended with him being voted the NBA’s first-ever unanimous back-to-back MVP.

The Curry 1 and Curry 2 Retro releases take inspiration from the hardware of the NBA Finals Larry O’Brien trophy and NBA MVP Maurice Podoloff trophy with the eye-catching back and gold accents.

Everything from the upper to the inside of the tongues is tailored to commemorate Curry's legendary run last decade. Fortunately for fans and hoopers, Curry is not done creating sneaker history and continues to change the game for good.
