Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant's first signature shoe enjoys successful launch.
In this story:

There are few players in the NBA with the level of star power possessed by Ja Morant. The Memphis Grizzlies point guard has cultivated a loyal fanbase thanks to his acrobatic dunks and authentic personality.

Perhaps no generation loves Morant more than the youngest group of hoops fans. That is why Nike made Morant the brand's first Gen Z athlete with a signature basketball shoe.

Morant debuted the Nike Ja 1 on Christmas Day 2022 and has driven up hype for the shoe over the past few months by sporting different colorways on the court. Finally, after months of anticipation, the shoes officially launched on the Nike website and select retailers today.

The Nike Ja 1 launched in blue and pink 'Day One' colorway for $110 in adult sizing. It is the same colorway worn by Morant during Game One of the Grizzlies playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

Unfortunately for most fans, the Nike Ja 1 'Day One' sold out very quickly online. However, there are still options for online shoppers who missed out on the initial release.

The shoes are available in full family sizing at above retail price on sneaker resale websites like StockX. Additionally, there are plenty more colorways scheduled to launch throughout the spring and summer.

Morant has had his ups and downs this season but has overcome every obstacle. Now his loyal fanbase is celebrating their hero with their buying power. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks for all your sneaker news.
