The 2022-23 NBA season is over for the Memphis Grizzlies. However, Ja Morant is just getting started with the launch of his first signature sneaker. Last month, Nike released the first colorway of the Ja 1, which sold out in less than 24 hours.

It is uncommon for a player's debut shoe to reach such a high level of fanfare so quickly, but that speaks to the loyalty of Morant's dedicated fanbase. Luckily for fans who missed out on the initial launch, the Ja 1 is releasing in a new colorway tomorrow.

The Nike Ja 1 is releasing in the 'Family Trivia' colorway on Thursday, May 4, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Fans can purchase the performance basketball shoes for $110 in adult sizes on the Nike website.

Unlike the blue and pink 'Day One' colorway, the 'Family Trivia' colorway is not releasing in full-family sizing. It is disappointing, given the name of the family-friendly colorway.

However, there will be plenty more colorways hitting shelves in all sizes throughout the summer. Below is what fans need to know about the inspiration for the brightly-colored shoes.

Morant's closeness with his family is no secret. The 'Family Trivia' colorway is inspired by the Morants' family ties and the colorful cards from their favorite 1990s sitcom trivia game.

The shoes feature a breathable textile upper dressed in cream, contrasted by bright green Swoosh logos on the lateral sides. The purple and blue heels feature fun messages inspired by friendly trivia trash talk.

In addition to looking good, the Nike Ja 1 is built to perform at the highest levels. For example, the forefoot Zoom Air unit provides increased responsiveness and vertical acceleration. Meanwhile, the containment system manages the micro-movements of ankles for extra stability.

We hate to see Morant's season end early, but the upcoming releases from his signature line will help us get through the long offseason. Stay with FanNationKicks for all your footwear coverage.
