The Ohio State Buckeyes Receive New Nike LeBron Cleats
Sports fans across multiple generations are accustomed to LeBron James dominating the hardwood. However, the Los Angeles Lakers forward is now taking over college football with the help of of Nike. The brand that prides itself on innovation has begun converting James' basketball shoes into football cleats.
Over the past few weeks, we have seen players like USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams and Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. wear the Nike LeBron 4 Vapor Edge cleats in an all-black colorway. With an important game against the Penn State Nittany Lions coming up this Saturday, James and Nike have supplied the Buckeyes with more ultra-rare footwear.
Thanks to Ohio State's social media team, fans were treated to incredible images of the cleats the Buckeyes will wear this weekend. Select players will rock the Nike LeBron 4 cleats in the 'Graffiti' colorway. Check out the Instagram post below for a detailed look at the cleats.
The Nike LeBron 4 'Graffiti' was originally released in 2006 during James' first stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Over 17 years later, Nike re-released the shoes last month. Luckily for online shoppers, they can purchase the basketball version of the shoe and the rest of the official LeBron James collection on the Nike website.
The 'Graffiti' colorway made sneaker headlines for initially releasing in limited numbers at a pop-up event in New York City. The exclusive colorway featured an iconic white, black, and red scheme with phrases like "West Lane," "Columbus," and "Buckyes" printed on the midsole. The bold design took over the association and is sure to make the same impact in the NCAA.
The fourth installment of James' signature sneaker line was an important moment in time for the basketball world, and now the model is finding new life on the gridiron. James may be in the twilight of his professional career, but his signature line shows no signs of slowing down. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your sneaker news.
