College football officially kicks off this weekend with a limited slate of games. But in ten days, almost every NCAA program will start its new season. If the anticipation wasn't already high enough, the Oklahoma Sooners teased sneakerheads with an exciting announcement.

The Sooners' social media account posted high-quality photos and a video showcasing its new player-exclusive Air Jordan 12 Low cleats. The cleats feature a crimson upper contrasted by black rope laces, mudguards, and insoles. Oklahoma and Jumpman branding appears on the tongues and insoles.

Of course, the University of Oklahoma is one of just ten NCAA athletic programs sponsored by Jordan Brand. The perks of such an honor include player-exclusive footwear (on and off the field), apparel, and logos featuring the Jumpman logo.

Unfortunately for fans, these cleats will never be released to the public. But the silver lining is there is a large selection of Sooners gear (including shoes) available on the Nike website.

We want to hear your thoughts on the Sooners' new gear. Tell us your thoughts on their new cleats and who you think has the best footwear in college football at @FanNationKicks on social media.
