The sportswear industry is still reeling from the split between Tiger Woods and Nike. Although the dissolution of the 27-year partnership felt like a breakup playing out in slow motion in recent months, it does not make it any less seismic.

Additionally, it made Woods one of the biggest footwear free agents in sports in decades. While Woods appears happy to continue wearing FootJoy golf shoes for the time being, he is drawing closer to announcing a new apparel sponsor.

On Saturday morning, Woods posted a cryptic picture to his social media accounts showing him in his iconic red top and matching black pants and hat. The post was captioned, "A new day rises. 2.12.24." Luckily for fans, the shadowy photo shoot does give us clues.

In Woods' picture, we can see his new signature logo on his left glove. Plus, the legendary golfer is wearing his "Sunday Red" attire, which is a nod to the recent trademark filed by TaylorMade

Woods is expected to speak with the media before the 2024 Genesis Invitational on Wednesday of this week. However, there are rumors that Woods will hold a media event in Los Angeles on Monday, with select media invited to attend the launch of the new signature line.

This week will be the first time since 1996 that Woods competes on the golf course without a Nike sponsorship. Athletes and fans wanting to purchase Woods' Nike apparel should act fast, as it is still on the Nike website.
