Tyrese Maxey is Standing Out in New Balance Sneakers

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey has excelled since signing with New Balance earlier this year.

The past few games have been pivotal for the Philadelphia 76ers. After a daunting road trip that included matchups against prominent stars in the NBA, Philadelphia picked up a much-needed win at home last night.

Most casual fans tuned in to the nationally-televised game to see James Harden and Joel Embiid face off against Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. However, they were probably pleasantly surprised by the play of 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey.

Maxey provided an efficient 22 points, including several timely buckets. The third-year player has proven to be the biggest diamond in the rough from the 2020 draft class. However, Philadelphia was not only the only organization to spot Maxey's potential.

Earlier this year, New Balance signed Maxey to a multi-year sneaker deal. The 22-year-old became the seventh player in the league to join New Balance's exclusive basketball roster.

In addition to being surprised by Maxey's game, most casual observers are likely wondering about the different shoes worn by the Philly floor general. Throughout the entire season, Maxey has worn the New Balance TWO WXY v3 in various player-exclusive and general-release colorways.

The performance basketball shoes launched in October 2022 and are still available in multiple colorways for $120 on the New Balance website. The ultra-comfortable kicks feature FuelCell foam amplified by the fan-favorite ABZORB cushioning pillars.

Maxey bragged on the shoes during an interview with FanNation Kicks earlier this year, calling it a "seriously a great shoe." Maxey said, "It's a light shoe, and I'm a guard that changes directions and has to perform on both ends of the court. I feel very comfortable in the shoe, and I like the shoe. I like the design of the shoe, and it's been great. I have zero complaints about it."

While Maxey does not have any complaints about his shoes, New Balance does not have any qualms with their decision to invest in the rising star. It is early in their partnership, but signing Maxey is already paying dividends for New Balance.
