Tyrese Maxey's All-Star Selection is a Win for New Balance
Earlier this week, the reserves for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game were announced, and one brand picked up a major victory. New Balance will be represented in the All-Star Game by Philadelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey.
In a press release, New Balance said it was thrilled to celebrate Maxey's incredible season so far with this pinnacle moment of being named an NBA All-Star. As a point guard who has continued to improve his game, Maxey is looking at his career season in multiple categories, including average points (25.7), assists (6.6), and rebounds (3.6) per game, plus an impressive 37% three-point shooting percentage.
Now a year into his first big brand deal with New Balance, Maxey has seamlessly integrated into the New Balance family. Maxey's love of style on and off the court is one of the many reasons that made him such a perfect fit for New Balance, not to mention he is a huge sneakerhead. Maxey will debut one of his flashiest colorways yet, inspired by 1990’s gaming culture, during All-Star weekend.
This past off-season was his first experience working closely with the New Balance product team on their basketball lineup for this year. For his quick speed and jumps on the count, Maxey wears the new TWO WXY v4 for the ultimate combination of rebound and cushioning. Off the court, his favorites are the New Balance 2002r.
Last January, FanNation Kicks spoke with Maxey in an interview upon his signing with New Balance. The rising star offered glowing praise of his new partner, "Honestly, New Balance has this family morale about it that I wanted really be a part of. That was one of the biggest things. It's a partnership. I haven't even been here long, and I just feel as if the partnership is growing day by day."
Since re-entering the performance basketball sneaker market, New Balance has made significant inroads by signing top talent and releasing cutting-edge hoop shoes. Mark Maxey's All-Star selection up as another major victory for the brand. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com to learn more about what your favorite athletes wear on and off the court.
