Oh, the humanity! Last night, the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Utah Jazz 114-104. But, the real story was the monster performance by Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards.
The 2x NBA All-Star continued his scorched earth campaign with 32 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, two blocks, and one obscene dunk over the head of John Collins. Check out the video below (and don't let anyone under the age of 18 view it).
After less than four seasons, Edwards is creating his own lane in the NBA. The 22-year-old has transcended the small market of Minnesota through his stellar play and shining personality.
Edwards' tour de force began earlier this season when he starred in a series of provocative ads for his first signature sneaker with adidas. Below is a detailed look at the adidas AE 1 worn by Edwards last night and everything we know about the release.
adidas AE 1
During last night's game, Edwards wore the adidas AE 1 in the 'Georgia Red Clay' colorway. Athletes and fans will be able to purchase the shoes for $120 in adult sizes on Thursday, April 4, via the adidas website.
The first four colorways of the adidas AE 1 all sold out on the adidas website. However, some sizes are still available at Foot Locker. While Edwards has an old-school playstyle that hearkens back to the days of violent dunks, his first signature sneaker is from the future.
The adidas AE 1 combines BOOST and Lightstrike in its midsole. It also manages to be ultra-lightweight with outstanding energy return on explosive moves. The TPU cage provides lateral stability, while the rubber outsole features an aggressive traction pattern that is perfect for attacking the rim.
Edwards is must-see-tv every time he steps on the court, and his sneaker game is equally exhilarating. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com and follow me (@Pat_Benson_Jr) on social media for all your footwear news from around the sports world.
