This NBA season has been unlike any other. That is especially true for Kevin Durant, whose season came to an unexpected end last night. No one could have guessed Durant would have been traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Phoenix Suns, only to be eliminated in the Western Conference Semifinals.

While many people (not Giannis Antetokounmpo) will consider Durant's season a failure, it was easily one of the best years for his signature Nike sneaker line. Below are the top ten sneakers worn by Durant during the 2022-23 NBA season.

Durant has deep ties to Oklahoma City, so it was only fitting that he breaks out a rare pair of shoes for the Suns' game against the Thunder on April 2. The former high school standout wore the limited-edition 'EYBL Nationals' colorway.

There is differing information on the shoes' release. However, they are available in select sizes on sneaker resale websites such as GOAT and StockX.

Durant's 15th signature sneaker featured several collaborations with artists to tell different stories. During the Brooklyn Nets game against the Orlando Magic in November, Durant wore the 9th Wonder x KD 15 'Producer Pack-Charles Douthit.'

The black and purple 'Producer Pack' colorway was released in September 2022 for $160. The shoes now have an average resale price of $183, according to StockX.

Due to the Suns' falling short in the playoffs, we did not get to see much of the Nike KD 16. Durant wore his 16th signature sneaker in three colorways, but they never got to enjoy a signature moment.

However, that's fine because this season was all about the KD 15. The KD 16 will have plenty of time to shine throughout the 2023-24 NBA season and beyond.

Throughout October and November, Durant laced up the Nike KD 15 in the 'Off-White' colorway. The player-exclusive model featured a black suede upper, complemented by cream side panels and outsoles.

Of course, the 'Off-White' colorway was a tribute to Virgil Abloh. The late-great fashion designer is responsible for many of the fashion styles still enjoyed to this day.

Brooklyn has some of the most polarizing uniforms in the NBA. Love or hate the Nets' threads; there is no denying they are fun. Nike had some fun with this player-exclusive colorway of the KD 15.

While this colorway was never released to the public, it stands out thanks to its exquisite attention to detail. Everything from the color blocking to the multicolor outsole to the speckled side panels is a work of art.

The KD 15 was designed in several player-exclusive colorways for Nike-sponsored college teams. Of course, Durant's alma mater was not going to be excluded from the fun.

In fact, Durant wore two colorways designed for the Texas Longhorns basketball team. While the white and orange colorway was clean, we have to give it up anytime Burnt Orange is successfully applied to a hoop shoe's upper.

Sticking with the college theme, the Duke Blue Devils received player-exclusive colorways of the Nike KD 15. Durant also wore the shoes on January 6 when Brooklyn faced the New Orleans Pelicans.

The KD 15 'Duke' featured a black upper with white side panels and outsoles. The blue Swoosh logo and Duke branding completed the collegial colorway.

Sneakerheads already know that the Oregon Ducks are getting every colorway of every Nike shoe. Oregon's athletic department teased pictures of several player-exclusive colorways last fall, and the Nike KD 15 was featured prominently.

Durant wore the 'Oregon Road' colorway on January 8, when Brooklyn faced the Miami Heat. The 'Oregon Road' colorway featured a black upper with green side panels and outsoles. The yellow Swoosh logo and Oregon branding complete the look.

Saving the best college colorway for last is the KD 15 'Oregon Home.' Durant wore the player-exclusive shoes when Brooklyn hosted the Golden State Warriors on December 21, 2022.

The two-toned 'Oregon Home' colorway featured a yellow upper and Swoosh logo contrasted by green side panels, outsoles, and the unmistakable Oregon "O" logo on the left tongue.

In a season full of classic sneakers, the Nike KD 15 'Brooklyn Courts' takes the cake. The colorway was designed in collaboration with Timothy Goodman.

The 'Brooklyn Courts' colorway was inspired by 1980s New York City culture and Durant's philanthropy. The shoes are available in limited sizing for $150 on the Nike website.
