Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta clashed on the touchline at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening.

It was a good night for De Bruyne as he scored one goal and assisted another in a 3-1 win that saw City replace Arsenal as Premier League leaders.

But De Bruyne was not best pleased in the 51st minute when Arteta prevented him from collecting the ball to take a throw-in.

With the score at 1-1, De Bruyne was keen to restart the game as quickly as possible but Arteta used his body to shield the ball before kicking it away.

An angry De Bruyne responded by shoving Arteta and then pointed his finger aggressively in the face of the Gunners manager.

Referee Anthony Taylor did not punish De Bruyne with a card.

De Bruyne was involved in another unsavory incident after he was substituted off in the 88th minute.

Multiple objects were thrown by Arsenal fans towards De Bruyne, who was seen sarcastically applauding the home crowd as he walked around the pitch towards the dugout.

De Bruyne later took to Instagram to post two photos of himself leaving the field.

One photo featured a bottle on the floor and the other showed a plastic cup in midair.

Alongside the images, De Bruyne wrote: "Beer anyone? Thanks!"
