Liverpool will face Fulham in the semi-finals of the 2023/24 Carabao Cup.

This season's other semi-final will see Chelsea take on Middlesbrough.

The draw took place on Wednesday evening shortly after Liverpool had booked their spot in the last four by thrashing West Ham United 5-1 at Anfield.

Chelsea and Fulham both won their quarter-finals via penalty shootouts on Tuesday, knocking out Newcastle and Everton respectively.

Middlesbrough are the only non-EPL team left in the competition.

Boro beat Port Vale in the quarter-finals on Tuesday, having seen off Exeter, Bradford, Bolton and Huddersfield earlier in the tournament.

Each semi-final will be two-legged. The first legs will take place in the week commencing January 8. The second legs will then be held on January 23 and 24.

After being kept apart in Wednesday's draw, Chelsea and Liverpool could meet in this year's final at Wembley Stadium on February 25.

Liverpool beat Chelsea in a penalty shootout in the 2022 EFL Cup final.
