Christian Pulisic Returns To Chelsea Team After 10 Games Out With Knee Injury
Christian Pulisic appeared in his first Chelsea game since January 5 on Tuesday night.
The USMNT forward had not featured in Chelsea's last 10 matches in all competitions since sustaining an ankle injury in a 1-0 loss to Manchester City.
But he returned to team training late last month and was deemed fit enough for a place on the bench in Chelsea's Champions League last 16 second leg against Borussia Dortmund.
Pulisic came off the bench in the 83rd minute when he replaced Raheem Sterling.
Sterling had earlier scored Chelsea's first goal of the night to level the clash on aggregate, after Dortmund had won the first leg 1-0.
Kai Havertz then completed the turnaround with a twice-taken penalty kick and Chelsea went on to win 2-1 on aggregate.
Pulisic made more than 100 appearances for Dortmund before Chelsea signed him from the German club in 2019.
