Constantine Hatzidakis will officiate in the EFL Championship on Saturday after being appointed as one of the assistant referees for the game between Preston North End and Blackburn.

Hatzidakis has not been involved in a match at any level since Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the Premier League on April 9.

The linesman was involved in a controversial incident during that game when he appeared to elbow Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson during the half-time interval.

Hatzidakis was initially suspended after that game as an investigation into his clash with Robertson took place.

But that investigation concluded last week with the Football Association deciding that no action against Hatzidakis was necessary and that his elbow on Robertson had not been a deliberate act of aggression.

Saturday's other assistant referee for Preston vs Blackburn will be Wade Smith.

The main referee at Deepdale will be Rob Jones.
