Kevin De Bruyne is the fifth player in Premier League history to register 100 assists.

The Manchester City playmaker reached the landmark during the first half of Saturday's 4-1 win at Southampton when he set up Erling Haaland for the opening goal.

De Bruyne's first 100 EPL assists have come in just 237 games, making him the fastest player to reach the milestone.

Former record-holder Cesc Fabregas needed 293 games to hit the 100-assist mark.

Fabregas, whose most recent appearance in English soccer came for Chelsea in 2019, is currently second on the all-time list of players with the most EPL assists.

The Spaniard set up 111 goals in 350 games for Arsenal and Chelsea.

Ryan Giggs is top of the list with 162 assists in 632 matches for Manchester United.

Wayne Rooney (103) and Frank Lampard (102) are the only other players with at least 100 EPL assists to their name.

None of the men above De Bruyne on the list are still playing in the Premier League. Indeed, all have stopped playing completely apart from 35-year-old Fabregas, who is currently based in Italy's Serie B with Como.

  • Ryan Giggs 162
  • Cesc Fabregas 111
  • Wayne Rooney 103
