Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told bosses at Paris Saint-Germain that he is going nowhere this summer.

PSG put Mbappe, 24, up for sale in July after he refused to extend his contract by 12 months.

Al-Hilal then had a €300 million offer accepted by PSG for the France captain, but he refused to talk to the Saudi Pro League side.

Mbappe signed a new contract at the Parc des Princes in May 2022. It was initially claimed by PSG that Mbappe had put pen to paper on a three-year deal until June 2025.

However, it later emerged that he had actually signed a two-year contract that included an option for the player to extend it by a further 12 months.

Mbappe decided not to exercise that option this summer, sparking fears in the PSG boardroom that he could now join Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of the 2023/24 season.

According to Sky Sports, Mbappe decided not to take up the extension clause in his contract because he felt let down by the club's transfer policy.

He had apparently been led to believe last summer that PSG would be signing Robert Lewandowski and Bernardo Silva to join him in the French capital. Neither of those moves materialized.

Despite not wanting to commit his long-term future to PSG, Mbappe is determined to stay put until his contract expires.

The report from Sky Sports claims that Mbappe has made it clear that he will not agree to a transfer away from the Parc des Princes under any circumstances this summer.

PSG recently attempted to freeze Mbappe out of the first-team picture to show the world that no player is bigger than the club.

Mbappe has been training with the reserves and he will not feature on Saturday when PSG host Lorient in their first game of the Ligue 1 season.
