Chelsea Pitch Invader Aggressively Celebrates In Face Of Newcastle Keeper Martin Dubravka After Late Mykhailo Mudryk Goal In EFL Cup
A Chelsea fan breached stadium security at Stamford Bridge during Tuesday's EFL Cup quarter-final against Newcastle United.
The pitch invader aggressively celebrated in the face of Newcastle keeper Martin Dubravka after Mykhailo Mudryk had scored a 92nd-minute equalizer for Chelsea.
After bumping into Dubravka, the fan then jogged back into the crowd, easily evading the steward who had earlier failed to stop him entering the field of play.
Mudryk's late goal canceled out Callum Wilson's first-half opener to level the score at 1-1 and force the game into a penalty shootout.
Dubravka had made three saves during normal time but he was unable to stop spot-kicks from Cole Palmer, Conor Gallagher, Christopher Nkunku and Mudryk as Chelsea prevailed 4-2 on penalties.
Slovakia stopper Dubravka, 34, was making his fifth consecutive start for Newcastle on Tuesday.
He had started the season as a back-up option behind Nick Pope, who suffered a shoulder injury during a 1-0 win over Manchester United on December 2.
