Cristiano Ronaldo Screams "Always Against Me" After Disallowed Al Nassr Goal
Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo was furious with referee Ismail Elfath on Tuesday night after he had a goal disallowed during a 4-0 win over Al-Shabab.
Ronaldo was penalized for an apparent push moments before the 38-year-old headed home from a corner kick in the 18th minute.
MLS official Elfath - who was making a special guest appearance in the Saudi Pro League - was called over to the pitch-side monitor after the VAR had initially reviewed the incident.
After watching multiple replays, Elfath ruled against Ronaldo, who had earlier fired Al Nassr 1-0 up from a penalty kick.
Responding to the call, Ronaldo shouted at Elfath: "Always against me!"
Ronaldo also appeared to swear.
But Elfath was certainly not always against Ronaldo and Al Nassr on Tuesday.
Indeed, the Moroccan-born American ref awarded Al Nassr three penalty kicks in total.
Ronaldo converted the first two himself before selflessly donating the third to Abdulrahman Ghareeb, who missed.
Sadio Mane and Sultan Al-Ghannam scored the other two goals on Tuesday as a big win saw Al Nassr rise to sixth place in the Saudi Pro League.
