Lens striker Florian Sotoca stunned Old Trafford by scoring past goalkeeper Andre Onana from 50 yards during Saturday's friendly against Manchester United.

Sotoca ran onto a loose pass by Diogo Dalot in the 23rd minute and quickly spotted that Onana was standing on the edge of his penalty area.

The 32-year-old then aimed a superb lob over United's new £47.2 million stopper from near the halfway line.

United and Onana both responded well to Saturday's early setback.

The Red Devils went on to beat Lens 3-1 thanks to second-half goals from Marcus Rashford, Antony and Casemiro, while Onana ended the match having made six saves.

This was Onana's third appearance for United since joining from Inter Milan this summer.

He made his debut in a 2-0 loss to Real Madrid before also featuring in a 3-2 defeat against Dortmund during United's pre-season tour of the USA.

Saturday's game kicked off shortly after another new signing, 20-year-old Denmark striker Rasmus Hojlund, had been paraded in front of fans at Old Trafford.
