James McAtee Scores First Man City Goal In 2-1 Win Over Bayern Munich
Manchester City beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in a pre-season friendly in Tokyo on Wednesday.
Twenty-year-old James McAtee - who spent last season on loan at Sheffield United - scored his first goal for City with a close-range tap-in midway through the first half.
Mathys Tel then equalized for the German champions against the run of play in the 81st minute.
But City deservedly retook the lead with four minutes remaining when Phil Foden set up Aymeric Laporte to score the winner.
Highlights: Bayern Munich 1-2 Manchester City
This was City's second friendly game of the summer - coming three days after a 5-3 win over Japan's Yokohama F. Marinos.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich had begun their pre-season schedule with a 27-0 victory over FC Rottach-Egern last week.
Next up for City will be a clash with Atletico Madrid in South Korea on Sunday.
A week later, Pep Guardiola's side will then take on Arsenal in this year's FA Community Shield game at Wembley.
