Frost Delay of Nearly Two Hours Greets PGA Championship

Cold temperatures have been part of the story all week at Oak Hill and delayed the start of the 105th PGA.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The start to the PGA Championship was delayed by 1 hour and 50 minutes on Thursday morning due to frost at Oak Hill Country Club.

Cold morning temperatures have been part of the story this week as high temperatures are expected to only reach the low 60s on Thursday.

Tee times were originally scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. and were pushed back to 8:50 a.m. Afternoon tee times will see the last groups tee off past 4:30 p.m.

Oak Hill last hosted the 2013 PGA, which was won by Jason Dufner and played in August. The tournament moved to May in 2019.
