Mater Dei HS - Mater Dei Guard Brannon Martinsen led the way with 25 points as the Monarchs beat La Costa Canyon Mavericks 70-66 in a game at Mater Dei HS.

Martinsen's points came on 9 field goals, 2 three pointers and 1 of 2 free throws during the game.

Christian Brown added 34. La Costa Canyon fell to 8-12 overall while Mater Dei improved their record to 28-5.
