De La Salle Spartans cruises by Cathedral Catholic Dons 49-21 in California high school football game

De La Salle - De La Salle High School running back Charles Greer accumulated 225 rushing yards and scored 3 touchdowns to help the De La Salle Spartans to a 49-21 win over the Cathedral Catholic Dons on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Spartans also received major efforts from wide receiver Zeke Berry who rushed 10 times for 94 yards and 1 touchdown and AJ Bianchina who rushed 11 times for 29 yards and 1 touchdown.

Cathedral Catholic's quarterback Charlie Mirer threw for 83 yards and 1 touchdown, running back Lucky Sutton picked up 156 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and Max Bayles had 34 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps De La Salle improve to 3-1 on the season while Cathedral Catholic falls to 3-2. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

De La Salle will challenge the St. Frances Panthers at home on Friday October 1. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Cathedral Catholic travels to Spring Valley, CA to face off against the Steele Canyon Cougars on Friday September 24. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
