St. John Bosco Braves edges Mater Dei Monarchs 39-34 in California high school football game

Cerritos College - St. John Bosco High School Quarterback DJ U picked up 446 passing yards and threw for 5 touchdowns to help St. John Bosco Braves to a 39-34 win over Mater Dei Monarchs on Saturday night at Cerritos College in a high school football game.

The Braves also received vital efforts from Wide receiver Logan Loya who caught 10 passes for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns and Wide receiver Kris Hutson who caught 7 passes for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Mater Dei's Quarterback Bryce Young threw for 415 yards and 5 touchdowns, Running back Marceese Yetts picked up 24 rushing yards and Wide receiver Cj Williams had 136 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.

The win helps St. John Bosco improve to 12-1 on the season while Mater Dei falls to 12-1. Tonight’s game was the third matchup between the two teams. In the previous game Friday October 25, Mater Dei came out in front, 39-34.
