Bishop Verot Vikings defeat First Baptist Academy Lions 34-28 in FL high school football game
First Baptist Academy - Bishop Verot High School quarterback Carter Smith racked up 165 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to lead the Bishop Verot Vikings to a 34-28 win over the First Baptist Academy Lions on Friday night in a high school football game.
The Vikings also received major efforts from running back Deshon Jenkins who rushed 20 times for 111 yards and 1 touchdown and wide receiver Marquan Young who caught 5 passes for 77 yards and 1 touchdown.
First Baptist Academy's quarterback Brady Quinn threw for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns, running back Sam Sparacio picked up 46 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns and wide receiver Jayden Petit had 120 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The win helps Bishop Verot improve to 4-2 on the season while First Baptist Academy falls to 4-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
