Fort Myers Green Wave beat Lehigh Lightning 31-21 in Florida high school football game

Edison Stadium, Fort Myers - Fort Myers High School Running Back Zamare Harvin accumulated 191 rushing yards and scored 1 touchdown to help Fort Myers Green Wave to a 31-21 win over Lehigh Lightning on Thursday night at Edison Stadium, Fort Myers in a high school football game.

The Green Wave also received key efforts from Middle Linebacker Greg Dennard who rushed 15 times for 62 yards and 2 touchdowns and Quarterback Carson Esposito who completed 3 passes for 50 yards and 1 touchdown.

Lehigh's Quarterback Durand Bundy threw for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns, Running Back Richard Young picked up 106 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and Tar'varish Dawson had 118 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.

The win helps Fort Myers improve to 4-1 on the season while Lehigh falls to 0-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Fort Myers will face off against the Ida Baker Bulldogs at home on Friday October 30. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
