Gordon Lee Trojans edge LaFayette Ramblers 21-20 in Georgia high school football game
Jeff Suttle Field at Jack King Stadium - Gordon Lee High School Peyton Groce picked up 120 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to lead the Gordon Lee Trojans to a 21-20 win over the LaFayette Ramblers on Friday night in a high school football game.
The Trojans also received key efforts from Dalton Russell who rushed 9 times for 24 yards and Dustin Day who completed 4 passes for 17 yards and 1 touchdown.
LaFayette's quarterback Dawson Pendergrass threw for 26 yards, quarterback Khalas Finley picked up 160 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns and tight end AJ Thompson had 14 receiving yards.
The win helps Gordon Lee improve to 3-2 on the season while LaFayette falls to 1-4. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
