Columbus East - Jake Perry had 207 rushing yards and scored 1 touchdown to guide Whiteland to a 26-20 win over Columbus East on Friday night at Columbus East.

The Warriors also received major efforts from Melvin Taylor who rushed 6 times for 70 yards and Brylar Metz who rushed 5 times for 60 yards.

Columbus East's QB Cole Gilley threw for 71 yards, RB Mark McDonald picked up 174 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and WR Dalton Back had 36 receiving yards.

With the loss, Columbus East falls to 0-1 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
