Marion Freshmen defeats Independence 48-34

Independence - Marion Freshmen's Connor Whalen led all scorers with 16 points as the Indians beat Independence 48-34 in a game at Independence."

Whalen's points came on 8 field goals during the game.

Independence was led by Kaleb Lamphier's 10 points and Blake Bartz added 9. Independence fell to 0-1 overall while Marion Freshmen improved their record to 2-0.

Independence's next game is scheduled to be played at Marion on Tuesday Jan. 17 at 4:20am versus Marion Freshmen. Marion Freshmen will host Williamsburg on Friday Dec. 9 at 4:18pm.
