Underwood Eagles defeat Kuemper Knights 24-14 in Iowa high school football game

Kuemper - Underwood High School Garrett Luett picked up 223 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to help the Underwood Eagles to a 24-14 win over the Kuemper Knights on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Eagles also received major efforts from Maddox Nelson who rushed 31 times for 160 yards and 1 touchdown and Graham Jensen who rushed 2 times for 3 yards.

Kuemper's Brock Badding threw for 226 yards and 1 touchdown, Kent Sanders picked up 43 rushing yards and Benjamin Gerken had 73 receiving yards.

The win helps Underwood improve to 1-1 on the season while Kuemper falls to 0-2. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Underwood will take on the St. Albert Falcons at home on Friday September 8. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
