Underwood Eagles edge Treynor Cardinals 21-20 in IA high school football game

Treynor - Underwood High School Garrett Luett picked up 200 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to lead the Underwood Eagles to a 21-20 win over the Treynor Cardinals on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Eagles also received key efforts from Will Buckholdt who rushed 9 times for 81 yards and 1 touchdown and Charlie Myers who rushed 5 times for 17 yards.

Treynor's quarterback Ben Casey threw for 190 yards and 2 touchdowns, running back Jett Sornson picked up 67 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and wide receiver Peter Young had 130 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.

The win helps Underwood improve to 6-4 on the season while Treynor falls to 8-2. Tonight’s game was the third matchup between the two teams. In the previous game Friday October 4, Treynor came out in front, 21-20.
