Independence Mustangs crushes Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers 35-7 in Iowa high school football game

Independence - Independence High School Marcus Beatty had 230 rushing yards and scored 3 touchdowns to guide Independence Mustangs to a 35-7 win over Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Mustangs also received major efforts from Mitchell Johnson who completed 3 passes for 84 yards and 1 touchdown and Kobe Beatty who rushed 1 time for 55 yards and 1 touchdown.

Center Point-Urbana's Keegan Koppedryer threw for 53 yards, Brody Grawe picked up 93 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and Mathew Coller had 33 receiving yards.

The win helps Independence improve to 1-0 on the season while Center Point-Urbana falls to 0-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
