Jennings Bulldogs edge Iota Bulldogs 15-14 in Louisiana high school football game

Jerry Simmons Stadium - Jennings High School quarterback JJ Benoit accumulated 66 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to lead the Jennings Bulldogs to a 15-14 win over the Iota Bulldogs on Friday night at Jerry Simmons Stadium in a high school football game.

The Bulldogs also received helpful efforts from running back Rejohn Zeno who rushed 18 times for 63 yards and running back Ryan Reed who rushed 4 times for 12 yards and 1 touchdown.

Iota's quarterback Peyton Renfro threw for 283 yards and 2 touchdowns, running back Jacob Cormier picked up 47 rushing yards and wide receiver Dylan Callahan had 151 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.

The win helps Jennings improve to 3-2 on the season while Iota falls to 3-2. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Jennings travels to Kinder, LA to challenge the Kinder Yellowjackets on Friday October 6. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
