Iota Bulldogs edge Church Point Bears 48-44 in Louisiana high school football game

Church Point High School - Iota High School quarterback Peyton Renfro racked up 302 passing yards and threw for 5 touchdowns to guide the Iota Bulldogs to a 48-44 win over the Church Point Bears on Friday night at Church Point High School in a high school football game.

The Bulldogs also received major efforts from running back Jacob Cormier who rushed 10 times for 111 yards and 1 touchdown and running back Landon Duhon who rushed 4 times for 25 yards and 1 touchdown.

Church Point's running back Jaden Reese threw for 105 yards and 1 touchdown and tight end Bryce Lejeune had 62 receiving yards.

The win helps Iota improve to 7-3 on the season while Church Point falls to 6-4. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
