Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres edge Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm 15-14 in Minnesota high school football game
Sauk Rapids-Rice - Sartell St. Stephen High School quarterback Cole Hentges had 204 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to help the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres to a 15-14 win over the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm on Saturday night in a high school football game.
The Sabres also received key efforts from linebacker Donovan Lund who rushed 15 times for 62 yards and wide receiver Dylan Simones who caught 5 passes for 54 yards.
Sauk Rapids-Rice's kicker Durham Welch threw for 112 yards, quarterback Tucker Hendrickson picked up 117 rushing yards and wide receiver Braden Tretter had 40 receiving yards.
The win helps Sartell-St. Stephen improve to 5-4-1 on the season while Sauk Rapids-Rice falls to 5-3-1. Tonight’s game was the third matchup between the two teams.
