Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres cruises by Apollo Eagles 35-13 in Minnesota high school football game
Sabre Field - Sartell St. Stephen High School Running Back Ethan Torgrimson picked up 148 rushing yards and scored 4 touchdowns to help Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres to a 35-13 win over Apollo Eagles on Friday night at Sabre Field in a high school football game.
The Sabres also received crucial efforts from Running Back Gavan Schulte who rushed 5 times for 33 yards and Quarterback Cole Hentges who rushed 6 times for 16 yards.
Apollo's Quarterback Ishmael Hall threw for 32 yards and 1 touchdown, Running Back R B picked up 65 rushing yards and Tight End Logan Johnson had 29 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The win helps Sartell-St. Stephen improve to 1-0 on the season while Apollo falls to 0-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
Sartell-St. Stephen will challenge the Bemidji Lumberjacks at home on Friday October 16. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
