Moorhead Spuds cruises by Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres 56-12 in Minnesota high school football game
Sabre Field - Moorhead High School Quarterback Trey Feeney picked up 334 passing yards and threw for 7 touchdowns to lead Moorhead Spuds to a 56-12 win over Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres on Friday night at Sabre Field in a high school football game.
The Spuds also received crucial efforts from Wide Receiver Brady Walthall who caught 6 passes for 114 yards and 3 touchdowns and Wide Receiver Dylan Dittes who caught 4 passes for 88 yards and 1 touchdown.
Sartell-St. Stephen's Linebacker Anthony Mahowald threw for 13 yards and 1 touchdown, Running Back Ethan Torgrimson picked up 71 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and Wide Receiver Aiden Lang had 13 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The win helps Moorhead improve to 1-0 on the season while Sartell-St. Stephen falls to 1-2. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
Sartell-St. Stephen will challenge the Alexandria Cardinals at home on Friday October 30. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
