Florence Eagles cruises by South Jones Braves 42-7 in Mississippi high school football game
Florence High School - Florence High School running back Xzavion Quick picked up 172 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to help the Florence Eagles to a 42-7 win over the South Jones Braves on Friday night at Florence High School in a high school football game.
The Eagles also received helpful efforts from quarterback Robert Reed who completed 5 passes for 131 yards and 2 touchdowns and running back Kaden Rockingham who rushed 5 times for 69 yards.
South Jones' quarterback Joshua Marshall threw for 20 yards, running back Devonte' Brown picked up 130 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and cornerback Jyrion Cook had 9 receiving yards.
The win helps Florence improve to 7-3 on the season while South Jones falls to 2-8. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
