Florence Eagles defeat Natchez Bulldogs 21-6 in MS high school football game

Florence High School - Florence High School linebacker Xavier Smith racked up 90 rushing yards to lead the Florence Eagles to a 21-6 win over the Natchez Bulldogs on Friday night at Florence High School in a high school football game.

The Eagles also received helpful efforts from defensive back Bryan Davis who rushed 10 times for 65 yards and 1 touchdown and linebacker Rod Davis II who rushed 14 times for 56 yards and 1 touchdown.

Natchez's quarterback Kaden Walton threw for 202 yards, running back Joshua Barnes picked up 111 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and wide receiver Kenyan Chatman had 195 receiving yards.

The win helps Florence improve to 5-3 on the season while Natchez falls to 6-3. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Florence travels to Ellisville, MS to challenge the South Jones Braves on Friday November 1. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Natchez travels to Jackson, MS to face off against the Provine Rams on Friday November 1. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
