Germantown Mavericks cruises by Northwest Rankin Cougars 46-21 in MS high school football game
Maverick Stadium - Germantown High School quarterback King White had 121 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to lead the Germantown Mavericks to a 46-21 win over the Northwest Rankin Cougars on Friday night in a high school football game.
The Mavericks also received crucial efforts from wide receiver Lawson Branson who rushed 7 times for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns and running back Julian Slaughter who rushed 6 times for 85 yards.
Northwest Rankin's defensive back Mickell Smith III threw for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns and wide receiver De’Shawn Dillon had 80 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The win helps Germantown improve to 1-0 on the season while Northwest Rankin falls to 0-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
