Pontotoc Warriors beat Ripley Tigers 33-20 in Mississippi high school football game

Ripley High School - Pontotoc High School Quarterback Conner Armstrong had 148 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to lead Pontotoc Warriors to a 33-20 win over Ripley Tigers on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Warriors also received key efforts from Running Back Jemarkus Whitfield who rushed 22 times for 118 yards and 1 touchdown and L J Jones who caught 1 pass for 84 yards and 1 touchdown.

Ripley's Quarterback Ty Long threw for 91 yards and 1 touchdown and Running Back Immanuel Griffin picked up 178 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.

The win helps Pontotoc improve to 3-1 on the season while Ripley falls to 1-4. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Pontotoc travels to Caledonia, MS to take on the Caledonia Confederates on Friday October 16. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Ripley travels to Ecru, MS to take on the North Pontotoc Vikings on Friday October 2. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
