Hattiesburg Tigers defeat Laurel Golden Tornadoes 26-12 in Mississippi high school football game

Hattiesburg High School - Hattiesburg High School Quarterback Jermaine Powell Ii racked up 117 passing yards and threw for 2 touchdowns to lead Hattiesburg Tigers to a 26-12 win over Laurel Golden Tornadoes on Friday night at DI Patrick Stadium in a high school football game.

The Tigers also received helpful efforts from Jaquez Andrews who rushed 24 times for 102 yards and 1 touchdown and Wide Receiver Joshua Jones who caught 3 passes for 69 yards and 1 touchdown.

Laurel's Quarterback Dexter Scott threw for 32 yards and 1 touchdown, Running Back Kiron Benjamin picked up 74 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and Quandarius Keyes had 32 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Hattiesburg improve to 1-1 on the season while Laurel falls to 0-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
