St. Joseph Regional Green Knights defeat St. Peter's Prep Marauders 40-28 in New Jersey high school football game
Jersey City, NJ - St. Joseph Regional High School Patrick Grusser had 148 passing yards to help the St. Joseph Regional Green Knights to a 40-28 win over the St. Peter's Prep Marauders on Saturday night at Caven Point Complex in a high school football game.
The Green Knights also received major efforts from Terrance Sumter who rushed 9 times for 89 yards and 1 touchdown and John Forster who rushed 3 times for 88 yards and 1 touchdown.
St. Peter's Prep's quarterback Tyler Bell threw for 207 yards and 3 touchdowns, running back Tyler Barksdale picked up 38 rushing yards and wide receiver Dallas Reece had 71 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The win helps St. Joseph Regional improve to 4-1 on the season while St. Peter's Prep falls to 0-5. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
St. Joseph Regional will challenge the Donovan Catholic Griffins at home on Saturday September 30. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
