Hoggard Vikings defeat E.A. Laney Buccaneers 38-21 in North Carolina high school football game

Wilmington , NC - Hoggard High School quarterback Sam Jones accumulated 145 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to lead the Hoggard Vikings to a 38-21 win over the E.A. Laney Buccaneers on Friday night at Wilmington , NC in a high school football game.

The Vikings also received vital efforts from running back Henry Heitman who rushed 22 times for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns and wide receiver Trey Parkes who rushed 1 time for 37 yards.

E.A. Laney's Ty Little threw for 104 yards, Eli Rivera picked up 161 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns and Connor Powe had 80 receiving yards.

The win helps Hoggard improve to 8-1 on the season while E.A. Laney falls to 5-2. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Hoggard will challenge the New Hanover Wildcats at home on Friday October 29. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
