Hoggard Vikings defeat Topsail Pirates 27-16 in NC high school football game
Wilmington, NC - Hoggard High School quarterback Matthew Boring racked up 284 passing yards to help the Hoggard Vikings to a 27-16 win over the Topsail Pirates on Friday night at Wilmington, NC in a high school football game.
The Vikings also received vital efforts from fullback Isaiah Newkirk who rushed 16 times for 66 yards and running back David Hunter who rushed 5 times for 38 yards and 1 touchdown.
Topsail's ELI Hebron threw for 161 yards, DAMARION SMITH picked up 78 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and Cannon Keziah had 95 receiving yards.
The win helps Hoggard improve to 7-1 on the season while Topsail falls to 4-4. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
Hoggard will challenge the South Brunswick Cougars at home on Friday October 25. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
