Centennial edges Roosevelt 20-16

Centennial - QB Kyle Fitzgerald had 136 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to help Centennial to a 20-16 win over Roosevelt on Friday night at Centennial.

The Eagles also received impressive efforts from RB Nick Garcia who rushed 9 times for 36 yards and RB Jimmie Barton who rushed 10 times for 34 yards and 1 touchdown.

Roosevelt's QB CABREE FIGUEROA threw for 123 yards and 1 touchdown, QB MALIQUE SABB picked up 67 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and WR CAMERON STOUDAMIRE had 53 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

With the loss, Roosevelt falls to 0-1 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Centennial will face off against the Century Jaguars at home on Friday September 21 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
