Oklahoma beats Baylor 49-41

McLane Stadium - Baker Mayfield had 281 passing yards and threw for 3 touchdowns to help Oklahoma to a 49-41 win over Baylor on Saturday night at McLane Stadium.

The Sooners also recieved major efforts from Abdul Adams who rushed 10 times for 151 yards and 1 touchdown and Trey Sermon who rushed 12 times for 157 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Baylor's Zach Smith threw for 463 yards and 4 touchdowns, John Lovett picked up 44 rushing yards and Denzel Mims had 192 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.

The win helps Oklahoma improve to 1-0 on the season while Baylor falls to 0-3. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Baylor travels to Manhattan, KS to challenge the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday September 30 at 12:30pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
