La Marque Cougars beat South Houston Trojans 51-40 in Texas high school basketball game

La Marque High School - La Marque's P Whitfield led the way with 16 points as the Cougars beat South Houston Trojans 51-40 in a game at La Marque High School.

Whitfield 's points came on 5 field goals and 6 of 11 free throws during the game.

Taliyah Mann added 19. South Houston fell to 2-2 overall while La Marque improved their record to 1-0.

South Houston's next game is scheduled to be played at home on Saturday Nov. 14 versus Westbury.
