Archbishop Murphy beats Garfield 37-18

Archbishop High School - RB Ray Pimentel picked up 81 rushing yards and scored 2 touchdowns to guide Archbishop Murphy to a 37-18 win over Garfield on Thursday night at Archbishop High School.

The Wildcats also recieved impressive efforts from QB Victor Gabalis who completed 7 passes for 88 yards and 1 touchdown and RB Kyler Gordon who caught 5 passes for 39 yards and 1 touchdown.

Garfield's QB Colby Burton threw for 110 yards and 2 touchdowns and WR Tre'Shaun Harrison picked up 41 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.

The win helps Archbishop Murphy improve to 1-0 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Archbishop Murphy will take on the Bishop Blanchet Braves at home on Friday September 8 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Garfield will face off against the Eastside Catholic Crusaders at home on Friday September 29 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
