Ellensburg beats Othello 35-17

Huskies Stadium - QB Brady Helgeson accumulated 102 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to guide Ellensburg to a 35-17 win over Othello on Friday night at Huskies Stadium.

The Bulldogs also recieved crucial efforts from WR Trace Townsend who rushed 22 times for 104 yards and 1 touchdown and RB Logan Mallick who rushed 17 times for 73 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Othello's QB DJ Guzman threw for 137 yards and 1 touchdown, RB Isaiah Perez picked up 92 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and Kyler Villarreal had 121 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Ellensburg improve to 1-6 on the season while Othello falls to 4-3. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Ellensburg will face off against the Quincy Jackrabbits at home on Friday October 20 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Othello will challenge the Toppenish Wildcats at home on Friday October 27 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
